Brother CS6000I Computerized Sewing Machine Reviews
“Finally a sewing machine that makes me better. I read many reviews while trying to select a sewing machine to buy. I already owned a Brother that was purchased 20+ years ago and was ready for a upgrade. I do not think that I could have made a better decision. First of all it is lightweight and I love the integrated handle. It is very easy to maneuver, but feels solid. The auto needle threader is FANTASTIC. Being “of a certain age”, I can barely even see the hole in a needle let alone thread it. This machine takes that chore out of the equation and I am thrilled every time I use it. The inclusion of the table accessory is very useful when quilting. I had always used a foot pedal, but am using the start-stop button exclusively and I feel that I have better control. The only thing I can find fault with is the thread spool. It would be better if it locked in place as when you are putting on a new spool it depresses without breaking through the label.”
“Second one for me!! I purchased this machine last year for my grandaughter for Christmas. I did my reserch to find the best buy for her and after teaching her on her machine, and mine broke, I decided to get the same one. It’s simple to operate, very light to lift and I love the needle threader. This is a great “Go To” machine.”
“Its exactly what I needed. I recently got a wonderful sewing machine but it is too heavy to take easily to classes, so I needed something that was light-weight and still had some of the main features I needed for quilting. I needed a moveable needle and an up-down needle position and didn’t want to spend too much for this “extra” machine. I also needed a decent arm length so the fabric could moved easily when sewing. I got all this and more with this Brother CS6000i machine. It also came with a cover (but it is not very sturdy and isn’t secure so I don’t use it much), and it with many different feet which was extra with other machines. I am very satisfied with my new machine and it is a pleasure to take to class. One suggestion is that if you have trouble with the needle threader like I did, you should try to correct the needle placement by pushing the up-down button. That is suppose to put the needle in the correct position for the threader to work.”
